He’s the heart of Capy Life — our mascot, our mischief-maker, and our ultimate chill coach.

We first met Gene in spirit during a family trip to Taiwan, when we stumbled across real capybaras for the first time. They were unbothered, delightfully awkward, and full of zen. That’s when we knew: if Capy Life had a leader, it would be someone like that. Someone who’s cool without trying, funny without forcing it, and completely at home being different.

Gene was “born” soon after — part stuffed capybara, part illustrated character, and entirely his own capy-boss. Whether he’s front row at a parade, swinging a golf club at Capybara Country Club, or rocking wizard robes at the School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, Gene lives by one motto:

Stay weird. Stay chill. Stay you.
